it's okay to be differentto step out of that mask and be who I am
HELLO PEOPLE.
haven't been blogging for ages. (4 days is long okay) :D
had EL O levels oral yesterday and and i seriously didn't expect HAIRDRESSERS and HAIRSTYLES to come out as the topic for conversation and picture discussion. i expected INTELLECTUAL things like youth olympic games or teamwork or something, not some wonky "What is your favourite hairstyle" question. HAHAAAA i was so nervous ok. kept talking non-stop. Ms Lee promised to ask the examiners how Day two Team one people did tmrw :D i am so psyched. i'm so gonna pray that i'll get my distinction for EL oral! yay
and Chinese o level results came out last monday as well! thank God i'm not taking normal chinese can :D YAY CLB! ha so congrats to lee ling en and bainy for getting their A2s for MT! 3/4 of my class actually scored distinctions for chinese la. i feel so inferior in the cheena language. hahahaha but CLB is fun. we're watching Letters From Iwo Jima during class now, and the movie is so fab can. WW2, Japanese Occupation... historic stuff, i think its really cool. :D can't wait to take History in SAJC yeah. wheee lydia says i should try watching Wall-E so i shall find time to watch it soon :D and Hana Yori Dango Movie is coming out in september! YESSSS-AH i cant wait :D
ooooh yes. i almost forgot. Ms tan returned out social studies and history paper today! i scored 78/100 for it :D distinction! and i got 72% for history, distinction cannn :D HAHA total that up together, i scored an A1 for my Combined Humanities grade. :D and i was one of the 4 people who scored a distinction so yay, thank God for his grace and strength and wisdom during my exams! i shall score for my other subjects as well yay :D hahaha special thanks to my cg as well, who has been praying for my exams and everything. thanks you guys :D
ah. bainy, lydia and carlos said something today that kinda struck me. we were talking about our math results and everything.
"You're putting in 100% for your humanities, but only 50% for your math. That's why you're only getting borderline passes or failing the papers."
that got me thinking... do i really want to see the B3 in my emath and my pass in amath the way i want a distinction for my Humanities? How much am i willing to put in this few more weeks till the biggest exam i've ever taken? if i really put in a 100% for my math, will i really not be at the bottom anymore? Food for thought... and it certainly got me thinking. :D
its 9 more weeks to O levels and busy mugging everyday so i'll probably won't be posting anything soon! will come back occasionally to update about prelims results and all so see you guys around :D (dont forget to wave when you see me :D)
xoxo, k.
